Good Morning Friends!
It has been many months now since I officially started my small business and blog, and one of the most gratifying aspects has been the many wonderful people I have met along the way. For me, becoming a stay at home mom after leaving the corporate world was quite isolating. While I have never missed the stress that goes along with being a full time attorney, I did miss my daily interactions with adults and business associates who became my friends.
Now, through my furniture painting business, I have the opportunity to meet some really interesting and amazing people – some in person and some through the wonderful world of the internet. Just last week, I purchased a beautiful secretary dresser from a lovely older couple. They invited me into their home, offered me coffee, and we sat and chatted for a half hour about our recent travels to Europe. I have also had wonderful experiences with the people who buy my furniture. Last night, a woman purchased my red farm table. Turns out, she works for the hospital where I used to work and we both share a love for furniture restoration. She was so delightful and we ended up talking for at least a half hour.
I also have met other furniture painters and bloggers like me – some in person, but many others only through the internet. One such person is Ashley from Vintage Refined. Today, I am introducing you to Ashley and sharing some of her amazing work. Like me, Ashley left the grind of the corporate world and has embarked on the creative endeavor of furniture painting. Ashley and I also share a similar style aesthetic. So, if you have enjoyed my work, you will LOVE what she does. Here are some examples:
This black dresser is so beautiful. That gold hardware is to die for.
Another stunner. Ashley’s styling of this piece is gorgeous.
And check out what Ashley did with this lowboy dresser. That green is fabulous.
Those are just a few examples of Ashley’s beautiful work. I do hope you pop on over to her blog – Vintage Refined – and check out the rest of her furniture. You won’t be disappointed.
Have a wonderful day!
Susan
