Hello Friends!
I am bursting at the seams to share some exciting news with you. My home is featured in the Spring issue of American Farmhouse Style Magazine. . . and it’s on the cover! It’s been a dream of mine since starting this little blog to have some of my work featured in a national magazine. It’s finally happening. Woohoo!
Last fall, I received an email from the magazine’s editor, Victoria Van Vlear. She said that my home caught her eye, and she thought it would be a good fit for her readers. She wanted to know if I would be interested in a feature in the Spring 2018 issue. Um, YES! I love this magazine and have been so inspired by all of the gorgeous homes gracing its pages.
I sent her photos of my home, and then had an interview with editor and writer Kristin Dowding. She wrote such a lovely article about my home. I had no idea how many photos would be featured, or if they might change their mind and not include my home at all. But, here it is in print with all my DIY’s, thrifted and vintage pieces.
I was beyond thrilled when I saw that my home was on the cover, and there was a 14 page spread inside. It is the most unreal experience. They even included a photo of my sweet Sadie in our garden.
This issue is packed full of beautiful homes. I am so honored to be included among them. Should I just leave this magazine on my (DIY) coffee table for the rest of my life? I think I will. : )
