Hi Everyone!
I am so happy today to be joining 24 wonderful bloggers for the Beautiful Spring Tables tour hosted by Tammy from Pink Peppermint Design. We are all sharing our spring tables, and I know you will be inspired. Links to all of the tours are provided at the bottom of this post.
If you are new here, welcome! I’m Susan and I’m so glad you could join me. Come on in to my dining room.

For my spring tablescape, I wanted a natural, organic feel with a bit of romance sprinkled in. I kept my color palate simple and soft – creamy whites, soft blush, natural greens, and raw wood tones. I added the thrifted vintage rug this spring, and it has inspired my spring colors.
Rather than a large floral centerpiece on the table, I created a floral arrangement on my vintage wood bead chandelier. I get asked about this chandelier quite often. It was a Craigslist find, and originally came from an old beach house here in Washington. This one is new, but similar to mine. Here’s another one.
When it comes to floral arranging, I’m definitely no expert, so easy and natural is the way to go for me. I simply layered a few faux cherry branches and peonies on the chandelier, and then added evergreen clematis vines from my garden. I let the vines spill over here and there for a loose, natural look. Finally, I added a few fresh creamy blush roses I picked up at Trader Joe’s. I tucked the stems in among the other florals, again keeping it simple. To keep the flowers fresh, I placed the stems in small floral tubes filled with water.
I used white plates with a pretty beaded detail and scalloped edge. They are the Pottery Barn Emma plates in white, and I just love them. Under the plates, I used these natural jute chargers. I like the texture and organic feel the chargers add, and they keep the pink florals from being too sweet.
Blush sparkling wine adds romance to the table.
On each place setting, I used simple muslin bags filled with a few chocolate eggs in tones of cream and blush, and a small spray rose placed on top. Vintage floral napkins from Pottery Barn (no longer available) add a bit of pattern to the simple place settings. These napkins are similar.
Without a floral centerpiece on the table, I had plenty of room for an assortment of candles. I used a mix of raw wood and crystal pillar holders of varying heights. More clematis vine from my garden wanders among the pillar holders, and creates a simple and natural table runner. The use of mixed materials (wood and crystal) adds interest, while the similar shapes of the pillar holders feels cohesive and helps them relate to one another.
Imagine how soft and pretty the table will be in the evening lit by the glow of the candlelight twinkling off the crystal. There’s the romance element again.
The sweet little bird salt and pepper shakers (similar) add a subtle nod to spring.
The crystal pillar holders and the wine glasses add sparkle to the table.
My white dining table was a DIY project. You can see the before and read more about that here.
Thanks so much for touring my romantic and natural spring tablescape. If you would like to check out how I’ve decorated other spaces in my home for spring, you can see those here.
