We all have those spaces in our home that could use a little help in the organization department. Am I right? Our kids/guest bathroom was one of those spaces in my home (I definitely have more!). With school starting and guests coming for the upcoming holidays, I decided it was time to get this space in order. I’m so happy to be partnering with The Container Store for this project, and to be sharing some tips for organizing under the bathroom sink.
Our kids’ bathroom doubles as our guest bathroom. I wanted to have the space under the sink organized and tidy so that our guests can easily find extra supplies. And, on hectic school mornings, it’s nice to be able to quickly find those extra supplies.
Tip #1 Donate, recycle and sort
I cleared out everything from under the sink, donated extra shampoos and soaps to a local charity that was in need of those items, and then gave the area under the sink a good cleaning. I recycled bulky packaging that was taking up a lot of space. I decided which items I wanted to store under the sink, measured the space, and then chose clear bins for each category of item. I also lined the bottom of the cabinet with shelf liner I had on hand.
Tip # 2 Utilize space on cabinet doors
I added a little hook to the door to hang a guest toiletry bag. It’s nice to have a toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream, and razor for guests who may need it. My kids also use these little toiletry bags when we travel. Now it’s handy and easy to find.
Tip # 3 Use clear bins to organize and store supplies
I chose to use clear bins so that everything can be easily visualized. I find that supplies can get forgotten and lost when stored in opaque containers, especially under a bathroom sink. Since guests will be using this space, I wanted supplies to be easy to find as well.
Tip #4 Use stackable bins and organizers
I used stackable bins for hand towels and extra wipes. Placed up front they make supplies easy to grab. They also make good use of the limited under sink space. The smaller bin is perfect for storing extra washcloths.
A 3 drawer organizer corrals smaller items.
Tip #5 Use a turntable for easy access
The lazy Susan turntable with divided compartments might just be my favorite. I’m using it to store bath supplies, and it spins for easy access.
Tip #6 Use a caddy with a handle for cleaning supplies
The clear tote holds my cleaning supplies. I can see everything, and easily pull it out for bathroom cleaning day.

I just purchased 2 of the larger square clear bins for my bathroom shelves this summer. I also want to see what’s inside from all angles. I didn’t know the tote existed. Thanks!

Love it!! Where did you purchase your bath bombs and bath foam?

Thanks, Angie. The bath bombs were a gift so I don’t know the source. The bath foam was from Target. Hope that helps!

Thanks! The cleaning sponges are from Target. They are made from natural materials which is really nice.
