Hi Friends!
Oh my goodness, how did it get to be March already? I’m not complaining, mind you, I am so ready for spring. We survived “snowmageddon” here in Seattle and finally have some sunshine. Are there signs of spring where you are?
It’s also time for another Cozy Living blog post with my blogging friends. Today, I’m sharing my cozy workspace styled for spring. Links to all of the posts are at the bottom.
This is a corner in our master bedroom where I’ve created a small but functional workspace. Living in a smaller home, I am challenged to make the most of every little nook and cranny.
Last week I attended the Northwest Flower and Garden Festival and brought home these pretty pink tulips. Popped into a couple of blue mason jars, and they just say spring, don’t they?
The Sage & Citrus candle from Antique Candle Co. smells so fresh. I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again, every cozy space needs a candle or two!
My desk is a vintage piece made by Drexel. I gave it a makeover by painting it in Benjamin Moore Advance paint “Cloud White.” Most of the original hardware was missing, so I added some pretty brushed gold campaign style pulls (unfortunately this style has been discontinued). My slipcovered desk chair is from IKEA and it is so comfy.
The bookshelves are IKEA Billy bookshelves that I screwed together, trimmed out, and then added bead board backing. I’ve given them a little coastal inspired styling for spring.
I love magazines, and keep my favorites stacked nearby for inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out the other cozy living posts below!

The pink flowers are perfection in the aqua jars! And I’m glad to see I’m not the only hoarder of magazines! I’ve got some issues that are well over 10 years old. I can’t bring myself to part with them and I do still look at them. Your office space is beautiful, Susan!
Susan says
Thanks, Jennifer! As much as I love Pinterest and social media for inspiration, nothing beats curling up and getting lost in a great magazine!

I seriously love your workspace! I need to kick it in high gear and get mine done. Yours is so inspiring! The pretty pink tulips are such a perfect touch! I love how a few flowers can bring a space to life.
Susan says
Thank you, Amanda! Even small touches can make a big impact, that is for sure.

I love seeing your office in the bedroom. Our office is in the guest room and I’d like to move it, it’s always nice to see how others are doing it…..and that pop of color with the tulips is perfect. Here’s to Spring!
Susan says
Thank you, Dawn! Having a workspace in the bedroom might be against some design rules, but in a small home, sometimes it’s the only place for it.

Beautiful space! I am looking for a similar style desk with file a file cabinet drawer. Does your desk have one? Any suggestions?
Susan says
Hi! It does have a deep file drawer. Mine is vintage, but I think Restoration Hardware makes a similar one. susan
