Well friends, we are into single digits on the countdown to Christmas! Are you ready? I have been having so much fun decorating my home this year with little pops of red and lots of greenery in every nook and cranny. You can see more of my holiday home here and here. Today, I’m sharing one last space in my home all decked out with holiday cheer – our festive Christmas entry.

As with the other spaces in my home this season, I wanted to add a little red to our entry. I found an old bench in my garage, and gave it a quick and festive makeover in red. It’s amazing what I find under the piles of junk out there, haha!
I’ve had it so long, I don’t even remember where I got it. It’s a simple farmhouse style bench that would be an easy DIY to construct. I gave it a cleaning, a light sanding, and then painted it with two coats of Fusion Mineral Paint in Fort York Red. It’s the perfect cheerful holiday red. You can see a dresser I painted a couple of years ago in Fort York Red here. It was even featured in HGTV Magazine last year!
On the ledge above the hooks, I placed cute little topiaries in thrifted spice jars numbered 1, 2, 3, and a sweet “Stay Awhile” sign perfect to greet guests.
I used a few other simple seasonal touches like pinecones, greenery, vintage ice skates and a holiday candle to create a warm and welcoming entry for the season.
This candle smells so amazing, and immediately creates that cozy Christmas feeling upon entering our home.
Thanks for stopping by my festive Christmas entry. I hope your holidays are Merry and Bright!
