Hello and Happy Holidays!
I am so excited to once again be participating in Jennifer Rizzo’s Holiday Housewalk. We just recently moved into our new home, and today I’m sharing a tour of it all decorated for the season. Today is the second day of the Christmas home tour, and if you are here from Tatertots and Jello, welcome! Jen has a joyful, colorful and whimsical Christmas home. If you haven’t already seen her tour, I know you will love it.
Living Room
Let’s start the tour in our living room. We moved into our new home about six months ago. It’s a new construction home in a neighborhood we adore. We are slowly making progress updating builder basic finishes, adding character, and making it feel like us. While our new home is far from “done,” and we have innumerable projects to complete, I was so happy to decorate for Christmas and make it feel cozy and warm for the season.
For inspiration, I looked to the warm colors that already existed in our home, as well as the evergreen trees that surround our property. I decorated with soft and lush neutrals, and touches of green.
The morning after a windstorm, I picked up some evergreen branches in the driveway. I found the perfect branch to adorn the fireplace.
I kept the Christmas tree natural and simple with red berries, flocked pinecones, and mercury glass ornaments.
Dining Room
For the dining table, I created a simple centerpiece with an evergreen garland, gold pinecones, and lots of candles to add a pretty glow.
I placed a faux cypress tree with a few strings of lights in the corner.
Kitchen
I kept the kitchen decor simple and neutral as well. Again, touches of gold and green to coordinate with the adjoining rooms.
Mudroom
Our mudroom is just off of our attached garage. I love having a landing spot for coats, boots, backpacks. It’s also the perfect spot to add festive holiday touches.
Guest Bedroom
In our new home, we have a dedicated guest suite. I created a simple and peaceful sanctuary with a bit of holiday decor to welcome our guests.
I am so grateful to be able to share our new home with you. Up next on the tour is Jennifer from City Farmhouse. Her home is always so beautiful and inspiring. Make sure to stop on by.
Have a wonderful week!

I am so glad you are back. You have always been one of my favorite bloggers: your Fall Porch Table for 2 is hands-down one of my very favorite posts…period. Your new home is beautiful, but more importantly, it shows your handiwork in putting together rooms and vignettes that are simple, beautiful and unique. Again – so happy to see this post, and hope to see lots more !! Best regards and wishes for a wonderful Christmas.

Beautiful! Welcome back, you have been missed. Your new home is lovely and your Christmas decorating is perfect. I didn’t see my favorite vintage Pottery Barn(?) wood deer, hope it is still around somewhere. Have a wonderful holiday season, all the best!

Your home looks amazing! I love how calm it looks. I did burst out laughing when I saw the book “The Tiny Mess” as I sit in my kitchen after just returning from Hobby Lobby and the Grocery with a giant Christmas card box and numerous Amazon boxes all over. I’m in a giant mess right now. 🙂 Hopefully soon I’ll be among a tiny mess. Thanks for sharing your home!
